The MultiPlus is a combined inverter and charger in one elegant package. Its many features include a true sine wave inverter, adaptive charging, hybrid PowerAssist technology, plus multiple system integration features.
Unique PowerAssist feature
The MultiPlus will prevent overload of a limited AC source, such as a generator or shore power connection. First, battery charging will automatically be reduced when otherwise an overload would occur. The second level will boost the output of a generator or shore side supply with power taken from the battery.
Uninterrupted AC power (UPS function)
In the event of a grid failure, or when shore or generator power is disconnected, the inverter within the Multi is automatically activated and takes over the supply to the connected loads in less than 20 milliseconds, so computers and other electronics keep running.
Virtually unlimited power thanks to parallel operation
Up to 4 Multis can operate in parallel to achieve higher power output. Three phase or split phase operation is also possible.
Remote Monitoring and Control
When coupled with a GX device (e.g. Cerbo GX) you can monitor and control your system locally (LAN) or remotely via the internet using the free VRM app and VRM portal.

What size system it fits
- 3000 VA: 2,400 W continuous at 25°C (2,200 W at 40°C), 6,000 W peak.
- Charger: 120 A (12/3000) or 70 A (24/3000). 50 A transfer switch, single 120 V input.
- Victron notes it can draw nearly 20 A from a 120 V supply while charging. On a 30 A pedestal, set the input current limit and PowerControl shares what is left.
- From a 12 V battery it draws roughly 215 A continuous by our estimate (2,400 W at 93%).
What you also need
- A DC fuse and cable for that current (guide), a 500 A SmartShunt, and a Cerbo GX or VE.Bus Smart Dongle.
