Is my Jackery warranty valid if I do not buy direct?
Short version: where you buy decides who answers the phone when something fails.
What authorised means in practice
An authorised dealer buys from the manufacturer, so the serial number on your unit is one the manufacturer recognises as sold through its own channel. When you register the product or open a claim, that lines up and the warranty proceeds normally.
An unauthorised reseller may still be selling a genuine unit. The risk is that it was bought through some other route, perhaps intended for a different market, and the manufacturer has no record tying it to a legitimate sale. Claims then get slow, or refused.
Why this bites harder on power stations
Two reasons. These are heavy items, so a warranty claim that involves shipping is expensive and somebody has to agree to pay. And the failure people actually experience is usually a battery management fault a year or two in, which is exactly when a thin reseller warranty has expired and the manufacturer warranty should be carrying you.
Three checks before you buy anywhere
- Does the seller state the manufacturer's warranty applies? Vague phrasing like "1 year seller warranty" on a product with a 5 year manufacturer warranty is the tell.
- Where does it ship from? A named domestic warehouse is a good sign. A long undefined lead time often is not.
- Is the part number on the listing? A seller who cannot state the manufacturer part number may not know what they have.
How a Jackery claim actually runs
You go to Jackery, not to the shop. Jackery's support team handles warranty and returns on its own products directly with the owner, which is the normal arrangement for an authorised channel and is the outcome you want. It means your claim is not sitting behind a retailer's ticket queue, and it does not depend on that retailer still being in business in year four.
Practically, that makes two things worth doing on the day your unit arrives. Register the product with Jackery so the serial is tied to you rather than to whoever bought it first. And keep the order confirmation, because proof of purchase from an authorised seller is what makes the registration stick.
Where we stand
We are an authorised Jackery dealer. Our Jackery stock ships direct from Jackery's US warehouse, every listing carries the Jackery part number, and the manufacturer's warranty applies. We also publish the identifiers on each page so you can check what you are buying against Jackery's own documentation before ordering.
If a unit you bought from us fails, tell us anyway. We will point you at the right Jackery contact and follow it through, but we will not slow the claim down by putting ourselves in the middle of it.
If you have already bought elsewhere and are unsure what you have, send us the model and part number and we will tell you honestly whether it looks like current channel stock.
