The short version: If you want a drop-in for the least money with Bluetooth, the LiTime 12V 100Ah Group 24 Bluetooth is the value pick, and the Renogy Core Mini 100Ah is cheaper still if you can live without the app. If the battery will be charged below freezing, look at the self-heating Renogy Pro 100Ah. If you are building a full Victron system, the Victron SuperPack is Victron’s drop-in, while the Victron NG is a system battery that needs a separate Victron BMS.

Drop-in or system battery: the question that comes first
A drop-in battery carries its own battery management system (BMS) inside the case. It protects itself, so it can replace a lead-acid battery on the same two cables. LiTime, Renogy and the Victron SuperPack all work this way. The Victron NG is different: Victron’s own listing states it will not run without a Victron NG BMS (SmallBMS NG, VE.Bus BMS NG or Lynx Smart BMS NG), which is the right choice inside a networked Victron system and the wrong one for a simple swap. Do not compare the NG’s price with a drop-in without adding the BMS.
LiTime: the most features per dollar in a standard case
LiTime’s 100Ah batteries come in three BCI case sizes, which matters more than people expect, because the tray decides what fits. The Group 24 Bluetooth adds the LiTime app and a low-temperature charge cut-off, and LiTime rates it at 4,000+ cycles at 100% depth of discharge. The Group 31 is the plain version without Bluetooth and is the cheapest LiTime 100Ah we carry. The Group 27 Bluetooth sits between them, and the Xtra-Mini is a Group 22NF-size case at 19.13 lb for tight compartments. LiTime’s note on all of them: they are deep-cycle house batteries, not starting batteries.
Renogy: the cheapest and the coldest-weather option
Renogy brackets LiTime on both sides. The Core Mini 100Ah is the lowest price per amp-hour in this group and comes in a short case for lockers that will not take a full-size box. The Pro 100Ah costs more because it solves a different problem: it heats itself once charge current exceeds 6A, so it can take a charge below freezing, and it is IP67 rather than IP65.
Victron: buy it for the system, not the battery
The SuperPack is a good drop-in, but you pay a Victron premium for it. The reason to choose Victron batteries is integration with Victron chargers, inverters and GX monitoring. If that is your plan, the NG with its BMS is the battery to build around. If you are simply replacing a lead-acid battery, a LiTime or Renogy drop-in does the same job for less.
Which one we would put in a travel trailer
For most travel trailers with a Group 24 tray: the LiTime Group 24 Bluetooth. Two of them, or one LiTime 12V 200Ah, make a 200Ah bank. If you want the swap done in one cart, the LiTime 200Ah Travel Trailer Lithium Swap Kit bundles two Group 27 Bluetooth batteries with the LiTime 40A DC-DC charger, a Victron SmartShunt and the fusing. If the trailer is used through the winter and the battery sits outside, pay for the Renogy Pro or a LiTime LiHeat model instead.
FAQ
Do I need a new charger for any of these?
Usually yes, or at least a lithium profile. LiTime recommends a 14.6V 20A charger for the Group 24 model. See what actually has to change for lithium.
Can I mix brands in one bank?
Do not. Parallel banks should be the same model and age so the BMSs share the load evenly.
Which is lightest?
Of the batteries in this guide with a stated weight, the LiTime Xtra-Mini at 19.13 lb.
