Which Faraday bag blocks my phone, and which is only for storage?

NEST-Z bags are EMP, HEMP and CME storage bags; Faraday Defense rates them at over 40 dB and says plainly that they do not block cell, GPS or Wi-Fi. For a phone, key fob, tablet or laptop you want kept off the network, choose an NX3, JACKET, JACKET Pro, CORDURA X or DRY bag, all rated by Faraday Defense at 85 dB or more. Which vehicle kit do I need, 4-piece or 7-piece?

Count the starting batteries. The 4-piece kit (one T.R.A.P. 12V plug, one T.R.A.P.-B, two auto ferrites) covers a one-battery gas vehicle; the 7-piece diesel kit adds a second T.R.A.P.-B and two more ferrites for a two-battery truck or motorhome. Will a T.R.A.P. drain my vehicle battery?

Faraday Defense says T.R.A.P. products draw essentially zero current except during a significant overvoltage, and that they keep working with the ignition off. The DEFCON Vehicle draws about 9 mA on standby.

Which EMP detector should I carry in the RV?

On the road, the wearable DEFCON Pulse Tag: it needs no outlet, runs up to three years on a coin cell and alarms within 100 milliseconds of an E1/E2 pulse (it does not detect a solar CME). On shore power or at home, the plug-in DEFCON EMP Alert System also watches the line for E3 over- and undervoltage from an EMP or CME.
